Brussels show could only be between 1965 (earliest year for Volvo F88) and 1968 (Scania LB76 replaced early 1968 by LB110). Show is from 1967 as the Krupp Cummins V8 shown was introduced in Frankfurt IAA in 1965 and the January 1967 Brussels show would be the first occasion then. Melis Haagsma, Amsterdam.

A diversion...the cars from the Frankfurt show in 1951...

• Borgward Hansa 1500 Sportwagen - I do not know if it is only a prototype, but the later Borgward RS 1500 racing cars are said to have been developed on this base.
• very Germanic, a coupe body on Borgward Hansa 1500 Sport with a coupe body by Rometsch (Berlin) - 2 of them were made.
• DKW's coupe offering
• DKW beat the more famous Morris Minor by 2 years
• Noddy's Car? (Noddy was a British childrens' book character who drove something like this) built by Paul Kleinschnittger 1950 to 1957, had a motorcycle 125 cc 2-stroke engine with first 4.5 hp (DIN), later 6 hp. It had a weight of only 150 kg and made 70 km per hour (more than 40 mph...). And - it had no reverse gear... you had to get out of the car, lift the back and turn it around... At least 2.000 of them were built (some say 3.000).

• Henschel HS190S with ultimate dog's window(Henschel is the so called 'Bimot' because it had two 95 bhp engines on both sides of the bonnet one driving the right rearwheels and one driving the left rear wheels)
• Ruhr? We Brits had a Ford Thames, so is it Ford? (German Ford, built during and after World War II in Köln)
• Tempo. Two stroke mounted on front wheel.
• Mournful looking Tempo Matador
• "like the back end of a bus" or is it the front? ('Schnellbus' made by NWF, Nordwestdeutscher Fahrzeugbau. It is the NWF-Ford Schnellbus FS based ona 3 tons Ford chassis, powered by a 4 cylinder 90bhp Ford Hercules type G 1YT four stroke diesel engine. Maximum speed; about 85 to 95 kmh, 50 to 55 mph.In this form it didn't go into production but in a much more conventional shape)
